Areas
3 (Spectrobes)
2 (Beyond the Portals)

Nessa is the fourth planet in the Nanairo system. It is a desert planet. has three areas the player needs to explore with areas 1 and 3 being part of the story. Nessa is home of the ruins, a giant spaceship created by the ancients to explore distant places within the universe.

Spectrobes[]

Area 1 ('Lilton')[]

This area is the only city on Nessa. It is home to excavation teams and Cyrus, a rare-item collector. Rallen had to bargain with him twice on his journey; once for a rare cube in exchange for the blue keystone; and once for the return of the blue keystone in exchange for the Diamond mineral. Lilton is also where you can sell minerals, to the vendor to the West of Cyrus. Selling rare metal minerals (such as Platinum and Gold) is one of the best ways to get gura.

Area 2 ('Desert')[]

Area 2 is an orange-coloured desert area, with giant sandstorms forming the borders of the area. Exploring this area isn't vital to completing the story; however there is a Black Hole sequence battle in the depths of this desert, that awards an Evolve Mineral after combatting 30 waves of Krawl. Cacswars are the most common type of Krawl found in this area.

Area 3 ('Ruins')[]

Area 3 is a blue-coloured area on Nessa. This area is undoubtedly the most important area on Nessa, as it's where the ruins are located. Rallen must explore the place and retrieve the blue keystone for Cyrus, and explore it again to activate the ruin's spaceship control. Nessa Area 3 is one of the best areas to mine for minerals, before reawakening the Ancient Ship renders this area inaccessible.

Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals[]

Area 1: Nessa, Colony (AKA 'Lilton')[]

"Fourth and largest planet in the Nanairo System. This is the largest town on the planet." - Planet description from Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals

There are three maps in the first Area of Nessa. The Landing Point, is a small rectangular hangar containing your ship and a futuristic tunnel leading downwards to the Westside. The Westside area is a uniquely-shaped map with an expanding underground city in the background. Landmarks for this map include a hexagonal glass room in the center of the map, which doesn't seem to serve a purpose; and the return of the mineral vendor from the first game. The eastern exit is a bridge with a holographic arch display, leading downwards to the Eastside.

The Eastside is the last map in this Area. It is a series of floating, futuristic bridges leading to Cyrus' mansion in the North-East.

All maps in this Area contain the ship-building minerals, Metalium, Titanium and Marble; as well as the weakest forms of regular minerals.

Area 2: Nessa, Desert (AKA 'Mineral Valley')[]

"Fourth and largest planet in the Nanairo System. This desert area is rich in minerals." - Planet description from Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals

The Desert of Nessa (referred to as the 'Mineral Valley' by Cyrus) is an orange-yellow desert trapped in an eternal swirling sandstorm. This is the first location in Beyond the Portals where you get access to Flash Spectrobes. The 'Mineral Valley' itself is the map before the Tower, and contains arguably the best place to gather minerals in the whole game. Rallen comes here in the story at the request of Cyrus to clear the Mineral Valley of Krawl for his workers; however he encounters Gelberus, the High Krawl of Fire, at the Tower.

Role in the Games[]

Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals[]

Nessa in Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals is where you encounter Gelberus, before he flees to Hyoga. The Mineral Valley is one of the best places in the game to mine for a large quantity of high-quality minerals.
